This event brings on very confused feeling, while I am happy to see justice served for the deaths of over 8000 people (2800 on 9/11/01 and 5000+ in the wars that followed). I am slightly trouble by the sight of this death being celebrated.
As a Christian I have rather mixed feelings about the event.
This will not bring back the lives that have been lost.
This will not undue the injustices the have been done as a results of that day.
But I fill a sense resolution.
I believe our President did what had to be done, and I believe this very long chapter of our country's history has been brought to a close.
I still remember where I was and what was doing that fateful day. Still remember the feeling of helplessness and hopelessness I felt the day my country, The United State of America was brought to its knees. The feelings that followed, for once (maybe never again) I was seen as an American human being, and not a black woman. We became a truly united country. I wonder if I will ever feel that way again...will we ever be that way again.
